Little cursor stuck on screen

Hi everyone.

I'm having an issue with El Capitan.

Sometimes I get a small version of the black arrow cursor stuck on screen. It's always on top and there seems to be no way to make it disappear, except for restarting the computer. The regular cursor is also there an behaves normally.

Also, I have no idea what's causing this. I don't use the enlarging cursor feature or anything.

I was going to post a screenshot to illustrate my problem but interestingly, I just found out the stuck cursor does not appear on the image when taking a screenshot.

So, I took a photo with my phone.

Anybody else have this problem or an idea how to fix/prevent it?

Yes, I have this problem occur frequently on my 2015 MBP, El Capitan. The only solution, other than restart, is adjusting your display resolution. Settings -> Displays -> Display -> Scaled -> Some other resolution... Then you can set it right back to your current resolution.

Same problem. Currently using the best of the best. 15" MBP Retina and I get this problem all the time. Somewhat frustrating, but messing with the displays setting did work for me. (Temporarily of course) What the heck Apple?

2015 15" MBPr with the same issue happening several times a week too. Changing display settings doesn't work for me, I always have to reboot.

Very distracting and annoying. Apple's quality has been going downhill since Steve Jobs passed away. Big bummer.

I found a fast (somewhat surprising) workaround:

I simply go to google maps, and the second, smaller cursor disappears.

Still haven't figured out what makes the second, smaller cursor appear at the first place.

The problem seems to have something to do with the onboard and dedicated GPU. When you go to maps, it requires more performance and therefore switches to the dedicated GPU and the second cursor disappears. however as soon as I close google maps, the computer doesn't require the dedicated GPU anymore and switches back to the onboard.

For me the second cursor pops back up straight away. It seems like a driver issue.
